About Us
Cathy and Joe Senick of Senick Consulting are small business owners just like all of their clients. When Cathy, who was an operations manager for a major stock brokerage firm, and Joe, a retired US Navy Chief Electronics Tech, decided to go into business in 2005, they experienced same feelings most SMB owners have when starting out.
History
Back in 2005 most of their clients revolved around the booming real estate market. Mortgage brokers, title insurance companies and real estate agents were their focus.
Joe was still working for a major Philadelphia corporation as the sole application support provider for the company's corporate departments including legal, tax, treasury and finance.
With a lot of encouragement from Harry Brelsford of SMB Nation Joe passed the MS SBSC exam, and added Microsoft Small Business Specialist Certification to his list of accomplishments.
In October 2006, they opened an office near Wilkes Barre, PA, (Joe grew up there), and started developing another list of clients.
Shortly after opening that office the real estate market took a serious turn for the worse which caused them to close that office in September 2007.
The following month they opened the office in Mount Holly. As the real estate clients were dropping like flies, they were slowly being replaced by clients in a host of other verticals including construction, contracting, finance, legal, manufacturing and vacations.
They gained a reputation for being able to "Make things right" between their clients and hardware and software manufactures as well as internet service providers and telecommunications companies.
The Future
Joe and Cathy are determined to maintain the close relationship they enjoy with their current customers. "We are not out to be the largest IT service provider in the area, we are happy to be known as one of the best". As with most small businesses, their clients' needs are what form the future at Senick Consulting.
